The Marketing Toolbox is a Limited Company whose Managing Director Mike Ricketts is a Chartered Marketer and has been a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing for over 20 years.

Mike’s Profile:

Mike is married with two children who are both in their thirties and are his best friends.

From the age of twelve Mike organised outdoor adventure trips and by the time he was eighteen, as many as four thousand people were attending these events. This gave him significant experience in planning, organising and team leadership.

His 30 year sales and marketing career has been spent in corporate life in the IT industry where he has had a number of senior management jobs ranging from National Sales Manager to Programme Director. He has worked with all the major companies from IBM to Cisco as well as consultancies such as McKinsey’s. He has also worked with many innovative start up companies who have grown to become well known names. He built a career focus around taking new technologies that were being developed in North America and packaged and launched these in the UK and Europe. He also did a lot of the missionary selling and hence has significant insight into selling as well as the marketing of new products and services.

In the process he has had the best business education that money can buy being tutored by a host of professors including some from Harvard and the training teams of consultancies such as PA and Price Waterhouse Coopers.

Ten years ago Mike became one of the first Chartered Marketers and now is part of a group of 4000 Chartered Marketers working around the world.

As well as running the Marketing Toolbox Mike lectures in Business Studies and is an examiner for the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM). Mike is also a registered mentor for London based members of the CIM and has responsibility for building relationships between members of the CIM and Further Education Colleges based in the Thames Valley.
